THE STORY

Photo des créateurs du Snakepark

The Snakepark was born in 2022 on a former SNCB wasteland in Battice, near Liège. Initiated by Antony Pottier, the project quickly gained momentum with the participation of several extreme sports enthusiasts, including the two Fontaine brothers, Tom and Jules.

The group of riders set about building their own obstacles inspired by street furniture, so that they could practice their respective sports in a place that is unique in the world for its creativity and originality of the infinite possibilities of tricks that can be performed in this skatepark. All these obstacles reminds the curves and undulations of a snake. Competitions, initiations and training sessions are organized here.

Young and old, enthusiasts and beginners but as well as anyone curious to discover these little-known sports in the best possible way. Sharing, perseverance and creativity are the words that drive us every day.

Supported by the town of Herve, in September 2023 the collective decided to inaugurate the DIY by organizing a competition bringing together the best riders from the 4 corners of the world. The success of this first edition, in collaboration with “La Street République”, will forever be remembered. The idea of repeating this festival of happiness and thrills was born, and so was SnakeClash.
